【明報專訊】癌症乃疾病的頭號殺手，科學家不斷努力尋找病因。某些病毒（viruses）及細菌（bacteria）可誘發癌症，估計與15%癌症個案有密切關係。<\/p>\n

「幽門螺旋菌」（Helicobacter pylori）引發「胃癌」（gastric carcinoma）及「胃淋巴癌」（gastric lymphoma），後者一般屬低毒性「邊緣區B細胞淋巴癌」（low grade marginal zone B cell lymphoma），但可轉化成高毒性「瀰漫性大B細胞淋巴癌」（high grade diffuse large B cell lymphoma）。<\/p>\n

與多種癌症有關<\/p>\n

「人類乳頭狀瘤病毒」（Human papilloma virus）大多經性接觸傳染，可誘發「子宮頸癌」（cervical cancer），亦與多種其他癌症有關，包括「陰唇」（vulva）、「陰道」（vagina）、「陰莖」（penis）、「肛門」（anus）、「直腸」（rectum）及「口咽」（oropharynx）。<\/p>\n

「乙型肝炎病毒」（hepatitis B virus）及「丙型肝炎病毒」（hepatitis C virus）皆可引致「慢性肝炎」（chronic hepatitis）及「肝硬化」（cirrhosis），有機會誘發「肝癌」。酒精增加患癌機率，肝炎病毒帶菌者切忌飲酒。「丙肝病毒」亦同時與多種淋巴癌有密切關係，包括低毒性及高毒性淋巴癌。<\/p>\n

「EB病毒」（Epstein-Barr virus）又稱「人類疱疹毒第四型」（human herpes virus type 4），與多種癌症有關，尤其淋巴癌，包括在非洲較多見的「伯基特淋巴癌」（Burkitt’s lymphoma）及西方國家常見的「何傑金氏淋巴癌」（Hodgkin lymphoma）。在亞洲地區，上述兩種淋巴癌皆不多見，EB病毒卻與「鼻腔NK細胞淋巴癌」及「鼻咽癌」有極密切關係，科學家在癌細胞中找到EB病毒基因。<\/p>\n
